DC adapter (wall wart thingy) diagnosis

It might be easier to buy a replacement, but in my case that would take way more time than what it took me to repair it.

So i'm not the only one to be caught out with the perfect looking faulty plug.
i use a penknife and pin hammer to break into the psu, brutal but it works :D
I find most 19v laptop power bricks have a shorted plug, no supprise as people often trip/catch the cable and it yanks the wires to the plug.
I just cut the plastic off the plug to solder it, then coat the plug with hot glue.
Not pretty but the charger works again :-D
