Bikes, food, guns, and now puppies. THIS CHANEL GETS EVEN BETTER EVERY VIDEO 😂

Note: Yes, the bike feels very planted, stable and solid while at highway speeds. There's PLENTY of power / torque to put the bike where you want it in traffic, to merge, get out of possible bad situations, etc, especially if downshifting a gear or two. Thought I mentioned that or included it in a subtitle in the vid, but my bad if I didn't! Posting here just in case!

Thanks for watching all!

thank you BLOCKHEAD! you're the reason it only took a few days for me to go from not really caring about motorcycles at all, to spending hours researching and drooling over bikes that i'll most likely never own.

Guess it depends on different peoples tolerances. Rode 1000mi round trip last year down interstate on a 883c with a 3/4 helmet, no fairing, had no problem, was quite enjoyable. Ran 75-90 all the way. The way back sucked though. Poured rain first day, made it like a 100mi. Next day we rode thru rain snow and ice. But we made it. Its pretty bad when u gotta drive in the tire tracks of cars .

That’s one thing I’m glad I traded my Dyna for a street glide. I’m on the highway almost all the time. Even my weekend get lost rides. I love how much more time I can ride because I don’t feel beat up. I do want a softail deluxe for a project bike. Make it like a bar hopper or something.

A lot of drag bikes have a small fairing on them. Use your influence to work with someone on a design that’s functional but still badass looking.

I'd call that bike a cocktail bike. Expensive cool looking bike you ride to a cocktail party down the street. (Kind of like a Knight Hawk with gorgeous wood grips being a cocktail gun you wear to show-off at cocktail parties with your other IIA friends.)

I rode one of these for my local dealership to a bike show around 130 miles each way. Wind was a little problem but 90 mph through some nice corners made up for it. I found the riding position put a lot of weight on my wrists, loved getting back on the sport glide at the end of it.

After riding an fz09 for a couple years, I got a 2018 Triumph speedmaster. Just fell in love with the way the bike looked. I owned that bike for literally 4 months and needed to trade it in for my BMW R NINE T. I could not stand the cruiser ergonomics on the highway. I felt like I was literally holding on for dear life just going 65 mph lol. I realized it's not necessarily having a windscreen or not. It's more riding position. I dont have a windscreen on my R NINE T, but I can ride it for hundreds of miles and not feel fatigued. Not knocking on cruisers, but just wanted to put my 2 cents in lol. I love the cruiser look, but needed a more aggressive upright ergonomics

I’ve found that wherever I go on I4 the FXDR is sufficiently comfortable with the wind, if I was going to go out of state, it wouldn’t work.

I actually find myself going too fast trying to balance against the wind. The helmet issues went away as soon as I went to an aggressive sport bike helmet.

HDMC makes a quick release compact windshield for the FXDR. That'd be handy if you were power touring with that bike.

Hokay so, I just bought a Dyna this weekend and let me tell you how much fun all that highway wind is with zero fairing.

I love mines, on interstate 10 here in California riding up too 100mph the wind does push on your chest good. But love it or leave it. Love the feeling

ride the fatbob and the fxdr back to back on the freeway. that flyscreen on the FXDR helps a surprising amount by taking some wind off the chest. your helmet is meant for forward leaning sport bikes, tuck your chin a bit and the helmet lift should stop.

The 6th gear and power definitely help with some of the issues that arise, but you're right about the speed. When I go above 75 on my 1200, I feel like a bobblehead.

Liked the vid. All I can say is
I KNOW
Same bike, same thoughts, although I will do a few hours on it. Always had naked bikes, and like my FXDR, but must wear backpack because nowhere to install bags. I like your mirrors.
