September 11: Bells toll as the US marks 22 years since 9/11, from ground zero to Alaska

Americans are looking back on the horror and legacy of 9/11, gathering Monday at memorials, firehouses, city halls and elsewhere to observe the 22nd anniversary of the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil.

Commemorations stretch from the attack sites -- at New York's World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania -- to Alaska and beyond.

I was born right as 9/11 happened. 22 years later, I still feel the sting of those who lost their lives as my jist just starting.

I remember this day like it was this morning. I do t think we ever really recovered from this. And now it seems like domestic terrorism is way more common and likely and can happen anywhere; schools, malls, churches, theaters.

Let's stop hurting one a other and trying to own each other in politics and feeding our egos and work together so we can all be paid fairly and have a safe place to live and be able to not be taken advantage of by large corporations. Let's work together and take care of each other, br a true beacon to the world of what true freedom and democracy and love truly is.
