The Samsung Galaxy SII Plus is a visually identical twin to the original SII. It comes in different colour variants, but most people may not be able to identify between the two easily. It comes with the same 4.3-inch 800 x 480 Super AMOLED Plus display.

The main difference in hardware lies internally, where instead of Samsung's own Exynos range of chipset, the SII Plus uses a Broadcom dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. Benchmarks suggest that the performance of this chip is marginally better than the Exynos. RAM is the same at 1GB, storage space is halved to 8GB internal (the SII started at 16GB). But no worries, there's a microSD card slot to increase that.

At the back you've got the same 8 megapixel sensor that shoots 1080p HD videos too. There's a generous 2MP front-facing camera for video calling too.
The next major difference is that the SII Plus comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. Whereas the SII originally ran came with Gingerbread (2.3), but that's not a problem because owners of that phone by now have received the 4.1 JB update.

The 1650 mAh battery should give a reasonable up-time, since the phone doesn't have today's modern amenities like an HD display or quad-core chips that sip away more juice.
