If you didn't know, Project Cars 3 will not have Tyre Wear. Or pitstops. Or even fuel usage.

The best thing I like about this game is the name Project CARS (Community Assisted Racing Simulator) and the fact that it has pitstops and tireware.

Edit: Guys I wasn’t saying GT 7 is any better I was just saying that I already decided the only Car racing game I’m getting is GT 7. Sure you can get other games too. But I was just sharing what I have planned to do.

Here’s the big issue by naming this game PC3:

PC 1 and 2 have been associated to sim racing for years. Calling this game PC3 and showing that it leans more simcade/arcade alienated most of the player base overnight, because they were expecting another sim instead. Go to any trailer or gameplay reveal of PC3 and it’s full of negative comments.
So what’s happening is that sim players are bashing an unreleased game that is supposed to be an easy to pick up racing game aimed at a DIFFERENT audience.

However, just because it won’t be a sim doesn’t mean it won’t be fun. Take for example NFS Shift 1/2 and GRID autosport, games that aren’t particularly realistic, but are fun games. Games like those are together w Forza and GT the gateway drug to sim racing, which you need to grow the sim racing community.

This stigma behind PC3 could’ve been avoided if they named it something else and weren’t so ashamed to admit that the next PC title won’t be a sim. I fear this’ll really affect their sales, for what might actually be a perfectly fun racing game. All because of a simple name.

Honestly look at DiRT series, they clearly distinguish 1 til 5 as being easy to pick up games. And for those who are done with those and want more realism, they simply switch over to DiRT Rally. I wish SMS did this too, it could’ve avoided this mess
