Hey guys! It's time again to jam another VGM masterpiece from arguably one of the best modern soundtracks around, Undertale! I've been getting a ton of requests for this theme so let's shred it up!

This theme works SO well for metal thanks to its shreddy melody and very heavy groove throughout. My arrangement for this came together so easily and I felt like there were no sections that I was met with a tough challenge. While, I DO enjoy challenging myself with less metal-sounding pieces quite often, having a theme like this where everything just falls into place is such a pleasure as well!

For the rhythms, my idea was to start it out with this very In Flames-y chug groove; then slowly having it open up and build some tension. The chorus acted as a perfect way to release the tension and let some huge chords ring out. The second verse is where I start to dish out some more technical rhythm stuff. I had a ton of fun coming up with some absurdly fast rhythms and also whipping out some harmonies on the other rhythm guitar as well to give it kind of a tech-death feel too. It worked surprisingly well and I'm honestly kind of shocked about that. Usually I can't get away with such complicated riffs without feeling like I'm sacrificing something or making it to convoluted.

The leads were such a blast to record. That main melody, while super hard, just rips your fingers in the best possible way. I played it a bit more slidey (you can move your left hand less but I really like the tone you can get from having slides in there) and it just became such a fun series of licks to learn. However, the melody under the main melody is probably one of the hardest things I've had to jam ever on a Toxic cover! That was pretty tough haha.

Overall I had such a blast making this, I'm super stoked on the mix and arrangement I was able to achieve and I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it!

Hey dude long time no talk, glad to see you're still actively doing covers! You're the one who inspired me to want to start playing guitar... but then I had a house fire and well, that was that... I'm entertaining the idea to try again, but I don't know..

+ToxicxEternity I haven't played a lot of Undertale but I really appreciate the music in the game. This particular track is kinda meh compared to a lot of the other soundtrack but slayed it dude. It sounds WAY better in metal than it does it bit:D
