"I am enough, I have a enough and I do enough" It is my mantra as I continue to move towards minimalism. I do not have to "feed" my inner sense of inadequacy. Happy to share that with you!

When you showed up in that black dress all I could say was "wow". Thank you for all you do.

I learned that" my self worth was the kind of person I am, not what I own".That say"s it all.

I found that being in lockdown during the pandemic for such a long time, helped me psychologically to not want to buy things. I guess not being allowed out due to the legal requirements in the UK, became a habit and I lost interest in consumerism. I too can now go out to shops and not want to buy something I don't need.

Spending can be an addiction for sure.
I, too, am striving for a more simplistic life.

Same here. Now pretty things do not sway me. Now I shop only when I need something.

Well said, "... not what you own, but the kind of person you are."
A lot of us should learn this lesson and great people are so !!!

Our son said on a recent trip “the best gift you and dad ever gave me was to not to be status oriented.” From a long time minimalist. I love the freedom that goes with my rich life.

It is my experience that minimalist living makes life more enjoyable.

I learnt then unlearnt then relearnt this.

I dunno if it was having a baby or moving to America but holy moly, it wasn’t as easy, even after 10 years of minimalism practice.

Yesterday I went to a flea market, and there were things there that caught my attention, but I resisted. I saw this nice electric guitar, but thought of the one I had discarded of a year ago. I needed to throw things out, because I didn't know if I had to move again. It's good to live without clutter.😊

Beautiful / strong message !! You're very strong !! It's easier said than done !! But, I agree !! 👍 I haven't shopped much for such a long time !! I can't afford anymore, also realized that not many things we buy last for long & my satisfaction/ appreciations for them, either !! Only certain things do ! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞

So difficult to see something beautiful and admire it from far and not to purchase it or own it. And dissociate the self respect and worth from material things. It so hard in the materialistic society we live in.
