What an awesome race to watch. One of the rare instances where strategy actually kind of matters. Usually there's much talk about this but in the end it all comes down which crew is faster end-to-end. Here you can tell that there was a tactical decision made in the middle of the race to attack and this was probably the reason for the relatively safe win in the end.

Am I right that both guys entered Diamonds as well? We know they are great elite scullers…..but surely even at Henley elite level that is likely to end in disappointment …..as appears to have been the case?
