My dream, aka something I now consider out of reach: Owning a home in Northern VA, where I grew up, a place which for me is the very essence of "america" as you can get -- especially as I have known nowhere else since moving to these United States as a nine year old in 1995. This place is simply too prosperous for the natives to remain here -- gentrification will mean I and many other people I went to high school with circa 2000 to 2004 won't be able to live here, our home, much as we like -- but such is life.
