CLARIFICATION: It's not that they suddenly "got out of shape" in a single day ... rather, binging on carbs the night before tends to put on temporary water weight, causing an otherwise ripped appearance to suddenly look a lot smoother and less chiseled, due to water bloat. No more washboard abs.

Reversing that on short notice requires hours of cardio, and no fluid intake.
