Always been into lifting but you've inspired me to start running. Now that has led to me getting my first bow and hoping to go on my first hunt this year. Always wanted to hunt but the military lifestyle made it difficult. Now I'm out and looking forward to it! Thanks for the inspiration Cam!

I was raised shooting longbows and recurves by my father, and he was taught to shooting traditional by his father as well. They’d hunted for maybe a couple decades together. I have seen my father shoot groupings very very tight from even very far distances with multiple forms of recurves. Luckily, he taught me how to shoot a bow as well as him. Taught me how to hunt, silence a recurve bow, find the wind direction, etc. For me, I can pull my 52lb pull black widow graybark recurve any day without even shooting for a month or so and hit wherever I aim. I can’t imagine how easy it would be using a compound that has a sight. One day I’ll get one! I just gotta save up and research what I’d like and feel comfortable with. Technology in archery is evolving every year. It’s crazy! I hope Joe Rogan still has this bow today, since I’m commenting so much later haha. Good video man

I love that you say use what you have the most confident in. I feel like people hear what someone uses and depends on what works for someone else

I think its very interesting after being into archery for 40 years or so how the subject of heavier poundage bows makes a full circle. When i was in my early twenties i shot a Darton at 72 pounds at 65 percent let off and these days most bows have that 80 percent plus let off. To be honest i shot my 65 percent much better than a new Hoyt i had in 2012. I havent really found one that i like to shoot in some years. Cool to see the long shots...keep up the great shooting.

Good stuff Cam! Although few can shoot 90lbs.. I'm having similar dilemna dialing in my setup and was being ignorant to the fact that a few turns back on the limbs could be a win-win! Also you're last video has me eyeing those carni-fours, but I really like the Valkyrie blood eagles too and they are local to us in Oregon!!

That bow packs a punch! Especially with the ProComps. Envious of them. they’re pricey but seem worth it

Because of you I warm up at 65 yards. North Florida whitetail hunter, no spot and stalk, just food plots and hot trails. Anything 40 and under I'm smoking 🚬

Grim Reapers all the way! Loved my results attached to an FMJ. Switching to a lighter Axis and better FOC. Watched em drop as advertised. KEEP HAMMERING.

I’m not convinced these bows are engineered to tolerate the higher poundage’s. I just had the bearings of the top cam on my Ventum 33 Pro (82 lbs) come apart at full draw. It was so dramatic I stopped and slowly let the bow down, all the time waiting for the bow to blow up. Seriously oh shit moment. I’ve shot my RX7 at 70 lbs a lot more with no issues…

Love a longer ATA still have my Hoyt Maxxis 35. Not sure I'll ever let it go. I shoot the best with it. It's like an old friend, can pick right up where you left off 5 yrs prior. Always a good feeling!!
