Good to see another Vegas user. 15:35 As a guy who spends each month making one 10-minute video, I'm not feeling to pitiful ;)

I definitely noticed that the most recent video seemed more polished and I appreciated it. If you can spare the extra 20 mins to do the second pass I would say it's definitely worth keeping it up.

Your shoot in sequence style also leads to more natural videos. It's like we were there at the bench with you seeing and doing everything.

I love seeing behind the scenes type things like this! Will we ever get a full lab tour?

I’ve started making harder cuts recently, I noticed an immediate improvement in the retention.

Nice to see people using other video editors than Premiere. I heard Vegas is a very good professional alternative. I use VSDC whenever I edit something. Decent editor for amateurs like me.

I clicked on this one because it was only 18 minutes. You are spot on with this. Really enjoyed this video as well. Win for both of us.

I wouldn't say that I noticed directly, but more clear annotation and visual explanation, even if its added in later, always makes presentation better.

Editing for retention, what a great video.
You have saved hundreds or thousands of people thousands of minutes.

(I really do enjoy your work, Dave!)

I only“listen” to a lot of the videos in my feed. Depending on how much time I have, I will look up and watch per interest. Thanks, Dave.

I have noticed an improvement in the quality but it's been improving over the years. When I watch an old video the difference is noticeable. I usually watch to the end because I want all the technical information.

As an aside I tried going on library from your last video and it was a pain and never managed to get on. I watch from an iPad but my email is on my phone and I guess I breaks the login. They need to improve the signup process if they want more viewers, it should be much smoother in 2020.

Keep up the great work, look forward to the next video.

I haven't (consciously) noticed yet. Very appreciative that you take that extra effort. Your videos are in the longer duration of what I watch, sometimes I'll delay watching one of yours for a couple days till I can find a good time to dedicate watching it. Also, the extra overlays often clarify things much more effectively than sifting through lots of comments. 👍🏻👍🏻

Yes you are absolutely correct. Longer videos get put aside for "later when I have the time" which often never happens.

Dave your videos are all great. I've not noticed any changes but
I appreciate any time you take to share your knowledge or opinions
Doesn't matter how long the videos are in my opinion the longer the better
Cool behind the scenes video

How often does Vegas crash on you? If you enable ripple mode and delete a clip while it is playing, does it crash for you? I prefer VEgas to everything else due to workflow, ease of use, and ability to see audio plugins in edit menu, but I've moved to resolve recently because the constant crashing was driving me insane.

Dave, I appreciate the extra editing. I think it makes your already great videos more professional. Thanks for sharing!

I just watched this whole video non stop all the way through. No pausing, no playing with my cat. Because I'm a true fan and love your work. Just thought I'd let you know ;)

Thanks for explaining that Dave. I have always followed your lead in video making. Not to duplicate your style but to follow. As I said before you are the reason I got into making videos. (aka Radio Tech on the forums). I have been thinking of switching to Vegas editing program but decided to go with the Windows Movie maker 2020 version. Similar to Vegas but a lot better than my older programs. I been trying to get my videos shorter and it takes a lot of work to do. Video I am working on now is over 3 hours of footage and is part two of a 3 part video. (face palm)!! Thanks for what you do Dave. I am one that watches the whole video. Buddy

16:13 - The retention stats can go up during the video if the same viewer watches the video more than once. The 70% area may indicate an area of the video where people watched it twice for some reason. It is possible for the retention stat to go over 100% if viewers watch the video multiple times. I would love to see the retention stats for a popular Katy Perry video for instance, i imagine it would have retention stats way over 100% most of the way through.
