👽 Things you can find only in Helgen #skyrim

Do you remember when you first encountered Alduin in Skyrim? It happens in Helgen at the beginning of the game. There, you can witness the battle between Alduin, Imperial archers, and Imperial mages. Wait a minute. Imperial mages? Do you even recall them?

I have played 1000s of hours of Skyrim and have never even heard of there being an actual "Mead with Juniper Berries" item. Thats amazing.

I think the lore reason you can't find any battlemages anywhere is that the legion is not recieving reinforcements from Cyrodil, and Tullius pulled all his best troops in to deal with Ulfric. So the battlemages in Helgen were likely the only ones he had and he couldn't get the Empire to send him anymore after they all got torched.

I find it cool that Hamming, the kid that says “but I want to watch the soldiers” as you roll into town, in a cabin with his grandfather, because his parents died in the attack. The grandfather also gives you a quest and a cool amulet

You may not get Mead with Juniper Berries anywhere else in vanilla Skyrim but you can get mead with Juniper berries on Solstheim if you retake Thirsk Mead Hall with the small group of Nords that were in exile

Here is another Helgen fact for you. When you come back to Helgen and you go to the keep but turn around instead to your left you will find target boards set up with exactly 1 unobtainable iron arrow that deals 1 damage.

I won’t lie, got the anniversary edition recently and did enjoy magic cause destruction spell’s actually do damage, I can now say I am a proud battle mage

Polish version of the game also has some interesting facts:
1) Polish version omitted Ralof's translation regarding this wine, hence for many Poles the bottles in Helgen do not have much importance ;(
2) In Polish version, Argonians has Shouts' voice lines recorded. In the original, they use humanoids.
3) In Polish version Elves have some voice lines in Shouts replaced. Instead of FusRoDah there is TiidRoDah.. -.-

You don't have to wait for the mead with juniper berries. They are there when you first jump over. Just that your hands are tied and you can't pick them up. There is a few of them, and they have the same stats are regular mead
