Is not eliminate. you didn't delete it, the hijacker is still working in the background. in the upper right part it has a kind of upward arrow that if you press it shows you the search engine that you supposedly deleted

How it solved only half my problem
1) Click on three dots on right hand top of google browser
2) Extensions - Manage Extensions
3) I removed the unwanted extension called - X finder
