Hi Everyone! If you love seeing fibre, fabric, thread and yarn close up then welcome to my channel! I love everything fibre and show my favourite fabrics, yarns and sewing/knitting accessories etc while describing and explaining what I have learned in my sewing and knitting journey.

In this video I’m showing a four fabrics from my wool coating collection. Wool coating is the thicker fabric that I always imagined wool to be (until I found out that wool came in many weights from thick woolly fabrics to even gauze like fabrics). It's usually heavier with less drape than wool suiting fabric and with a more 'fuzzy' and less worsted appearance than wool suiting. Some of these have been in my stash for almost a year so are likely out of stock. However, Minerva always have a good selection of wool suiting at a good price on their site.

I apologise if the video comes in and out of focus a lot and has some loud microphone issues. I was using a different camera to the one I usually use and it is clearer in some ways but less precise than others.

Hi Maria, I'm messaging you from Northern California, I watched your most recent knitting podcast and after it was over this one on wool fabric popped up. I also do tailoring and love quality woolen fabrics. Did you end up sewing garments with your woolen fabrics? I would love to see them. Enjoying your accent- my paternal grandfather was from Glasgow and had quite a thick brogue. Sure miss him.
