I’m just an older retired guy and have no idea of who Alan Wake is, however I really love this style of music and obsessed with learning the finger picking guitar and style this young lady is playing. My son is a gamer and recently brought this video to my attention a few days ago. I have no idea how many times I’ve watched this video so far. Above and beyond how bewitching this young lady is, watching her play and sing is amazing….and forgive me but… those eyes and red hair…Hauntingly gorgeous! I realize that she does a great deal of fantasy stuff but, real or not, amazing entertainment! I do happen to have Celtic heritage and these type songs happen touch me deeply. This song is now definitely on my “have to learn” list and already explored its origins. Never in a million years would I have ever been so moved by a Flute performance. Her Flute performance actually dances around her guitar. Absolutely amazing sounds. I’m spellbound.

Ok, let's get the obvious out of the way first: Love her voice, LOVE the accent, especially love the flute being used here.

More specifically, I love the irony of just how well the whole "Celtic" theme here works, from her accent to the flute being used in what was originally a straight-up-rock-and-roll song. It actually feels appropriate, fitting the (Norse mythology) style of the Old Gods of Asgard and the whole "dark fairy tale" theme we get from Bright Falls and the Lovecraftian Dark Presence.

Excellent cover, Alina. Great job with the solo there at the end, especially. The whole thing was very tight / crisp, but I was wondering as it got to that point "is she gonna bust out an amp?" I love the flute approach, very appropriate for the song.
