Faulty TRONSMART T6 PLUS | Can I FIX It?

This is Adam's 2nd bluetooth speaker, a Tronsmart T6 Plus. This one was purchased from Facebook Marketplace, and didn't work when it arrived!

Let's crack it open and see if we can fix it.

PS. I'm not an expert in repairs at all. I do this for fun, and it may not be the best or safest way to go about repairing broken stuff. I'm pretty good at melting plastic though. Please don't copy me - I'm an idiot.

Forgetting the battery connection and owning it is why I love this channel.

While charging the load on those small connectors is close to the limit. Hence it would be better connecting both GND and both Power pins (mirrored left and right) as the load would be distributed on two pins each.

So if you look at the board, the middle two pins go to vias through the board. I'm guessing there is a resistor on the other side of the board that those go to. This is important for the USB-C port, as it is the way the device communicates that it is capable of other charge speeds and voltages. So as assembled, I believe you'll only be able to do 5v charging at the 'slow' speed with any chargers that limit the speed.

Hahaha OMG, you had my missus cringing with the funky 80's music already, then I pre guessed the battery not plugged in. but the "I want one, by that I mean, stupid speaker" made me chortle out loud, then you finally capped it all off with the cover at the end!
