I really enjoyed watching your video! Homeschooling is definitely frowned upon where we live, and there's absolutely no support if you happen to be secular! Tough, it's definitely tough, so finding like-minded, mums on YouTube and Instagram has definitely been great for morale!

Following your gut is so important! It took me a while to realize that it doesn't matter what others are doing. What matters is that your child is enjoying the process of learning. They will learn what they need to learn when they are ready to learn it.

I am so beyond happy that I decided to listen to your video while I was cleaning up the house tonight. I recently decided that I was going to follow my gut and finally start homeschooling my kids this fall. My mother’s first response was “that’s too bad” and she then went on to subtly insult me and my abilities to homeschool them successfully. I had my husbands total support, but the negativity from my family was definitely taking a toll. Thank you for this video! I needed to hear it today ❤️

Yes to all of these! I wish I had realized when we started that so much of successful homeschooling was about my relationship with my kids and learning how to work with them and listen and respond to their needs. My focus in the beginning was too much on choosing materials and curricula and getting everything done, but now I am better at focusing on staying calm and making peaceful collaboration with my kids the first priority.

Hi! I’m new here! Nice to meet another secular homeschool family 💜 Can you go in depth about Homeschool Boss Testing? My husband and I have been considering it but would like more insight on how the testing WORKS. Mine is just starting 1st grade and he’s done testing like this before due to public school (kindergarten). Can you do the test shorter than in 3 days? They made him wait but he got done with public school testing SO QUICKLY and was on the same level as everyone else in his class? I think that was his big problem with testing was taking a the test in parts over 3 days.
