Charles Taylor’s TEDxVermilionStreet talk explores the beneficial effects of combining 3D printing with bioengineering. As the founder of the Cajun Artificial Heart Laboratory, Dr. Taylor’s work aims to improve the safety of medical devices by addressing each patient on an individual level using 3D printing to create patient-specific medical devices.
Charles Taylor obtained a PhD from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008. Charles helped form the Cajun Artificial Heart Laboratory. The research mission of his laboratory is to develop safety, risk and reliability practices for medical devices targeting the cardiovascular system.
