I really think there’s a lot of toys and things that need to be rehomed and decluttered it’ll stay cleaner and more organized 👍🏼❤️😉🇨🇦

Just a note - it’s not just moms who have these problems. My children are all grown with homes and jobs. I also have 7 grandchildren and one great grandson. However, I lost my husband 2 yrs ago. 3 Mos. later I lost my sister and 3 mos. after that I lost my dog. Learning how to grieve, live alone, be your own caretaker has left me extremely depressed and anxious. My home is also in sad shape and I can’t seem to find that motivation. Life is really hard.

I admire your honesty and bravery in sharing what reality is like for many mothers... It is so helpful to hear another parent say it and show what coping you use to make the most of energetic and positive times. I have a child on the autistic spectrum and know what that means in addition to the parenting most folks experience. May God bless you and your family. Thank you so much for reaching out as I am sure you do a lot of good for others without knowing how far the precious ripple effect spreads.

I was a kid who ALWAYS kept their room clean. That was how my anxiety and negative emotions manifested, aka the perfectionism. All your kids have to do is realize that it is their job to clean up after themselves, and also that mom AND dad (involve your husband--kids might listen to him better) will check! Check every damn night. Nothing has to be perfect, but clear floors (laundry in basket) and NO trash each night starts to have it sink in. I've had to take out trash EVERY night for a while, and there was less drama. You might just have to take out their trash cans of they keep hoarding garbage. There's nothing wrong with the kids getting a grocery store bag from the kitchen, fill it up in their room, then throw it away at night before bed.

One piece of advice from an older woman who has struggled with both anxiety and depression. Don't buy that much. The more you buy, the more you have to clean and find room for it. It is wasted money. The children get overwhelmed with so much stuff. Also, growing up with someone with mental illness will probably result in them having it too. The more stuff they have, the more anxious and depressed they get. If you don't buy, you save money. Try to teach them the value of savings and the value of things. If they only have a few things, they will value those things. Another advice. Involve them in the cleaning and organizing their room. Remember, this is THEIR room and they might want their things in a different place. Good job fixing up. But remember my old woman advices. 👍🥰

Great video... i am bipolar-2 which is basically severe depression and anxiety and I def can relate to this series....thank you for sharing such a sensitive and vulnerable situation its good to know their are other people dealing with some of the same types of myself only began to deal with depression, anxiety, and mood swings after i started having children so yes the day to day duties, along with virtual school, cooking, cleaning, self care, being a wife and a mom to multiple kids can get so heavy you barely can het out of bed and digging yourself out of the trenches for reminding us mommas we can do this one day at a time!!! Keep doing what your doing because your struggles are a testimony to so many women!!!

My jaw hit the floor when you wrote 'Live Happy on Purpose!' I have a magnet on my refrigerator which has a neat photo of 4 women in the 1940s on a teak boat which has the caption of ' I choose to be happy because it is good for me!' The philosophy is enlightening!

Your daughter’s desk is a thing of beauty! You are a wise mother to allow her the personal space she needs to be creative. Such an outlet helps her to become an independent thinker, as well as gives her a way to reduce anxiety....

The finished room looks amazing! And kudos for letting your little girl have a special spot for being creative- the desk which gets a paint splatter now and then... Leaves her lots of room to grow and still within reasonable boundaries, like' don't paint your room!' I like your style and I will keep watching. thank you!

WOW! Three days to clean your little girl's bedroom only. I am impressed and motivated by your dedication! How long does it stay clean? Just a suggestion for you, remove the excess furniture (tall bookshelf, 3 shelf with bins, plastic 3 drawer bin, extra night stand) as they are storage spaces to add more clutter and add to your dusting and vaccuum time because you have to move each piece to clean underneath/behind them. They also make the room appear messy and cluttered. Only keep the items that have a home in the dresser, desk and nightstand.
