I can confirm that I didn’t sponsor the video. Thanks for the wonderful coverage!

Damn never thought someone would manage to sell me a comic font

That font gives me the feeling like it's snowing outside, I'm drinking hot chocolate, the house smells like baking cookies, and I'm about to program a fun game.

I'm really excited to see my wife's reaction when I explain that I spent $30 on a font.

I have pretty severe dyslexia and I really like opendyslexic. I tried opendyslexicmono as my terminal font for a bit a while ago.. It reads better than other fonts, but it just... doesn't really look right in the terminal. Definitely gonna give comic mono a try.

When I am programming I want my code to look cold, dead and robotic because every keystroke should remind me of the fact that the commands of my mind are running on hardware that is made up of and powered by what humanity has ripped straight from mother nature's guts. Doesn't get more soulless than that.

I can't believe you actually managed to make me buy a font, never in my wildest dreams I would've thought that I'd be buying a font

Actually, what got me hyped up for continuing learning to program was the code highlighting of my IDE. So for me personally, aesthetic does play a role in my work. But I don't really focus alot on the font.

I got the link from my US friend for your channel, and just saw this video this morning. Made me a great start in the day with a laugh! Many many thanks.

That polish sentence at 2:34 made ma laugh a lot. It makes absolutely no sense. It basically means "In the lows he could eat a truffle, a horse or dogs" :D. Great video and great font! Might switch to it.

Never really thought about changing the fonts in my IDEs before. Interesting and engaging video, subscribed :)

Fantasque Sans Mono has a lot of the same feel, although not quite as "cute". Very complete for a free font. Only supports basic cyrillic and greek, but is also very nice.

Awesome video! I just wanted to point something out since a lot of people in the comments are saying something along the lines of "Why would you pay money for a font, " when typefaces really take a ton of work by the designer to be read well, give certain feelings, and suit a certain medium well (type is often designed for specific mediums like books or display). Every typeface has a designer behind it, and I feel those designers and their work are often taken for granted. There is nothing wrong with supporting type designers that do really great work!

It's insane to see someone else use Comic Code. My friend found it and I use it as my editor font, and he uses it for his terminal font. Definitely didn't expect to see someone make a video talking about this font for the exact same purposes.

Going into this video, I didn't think I'd agree. And I was right. **But!** I do absolutely respect this decision now.

I spend most of my day looking at screens; and most of my life now. I think buying a paid font is something I didn't realize I wanted until now. Thanks! Buying!

Coming back to this video 7 months later and I'm still using this font. I can't believe you were telling the truth

After months of thinking about it, I finally made my decision. I bought the 'normal' Comic Code font! Now it really feels more fun to do even the gruntest of log reading work :) That's a curious idea for me! Thank you for the advice!

Thank you for showing us the Font. I never heard of it, but at first glance in my Terminal i absolutely love it. Danke. :)

I don't have dyslexia per se (at least I was never officially diagnosed), but my astigmatism makes fonts with lots of parallel lines very uncomfortable to read. Say what you want about Comic Sans and it's derivatives, but it's done a lot of good for many people and I appreciate it for that.

I think I might have to check out Comic Code now, so thanks for shining a light on Omagari's work, I probably wouldn't have found it otherwise :)
