Two foreign pilots flew their Cessna dangerously close to boats on Horsetooth Resevoir in Colorado but then regretted thier decision when they crashed the plane. The FBI got involved and there's more to this wild story than you've probably heard.

As a former Navy pilot, I seem to recall that the FAA had a regulation about not flying below 500 feet over people/civilians; this applied to private pilots as well as military pilots. They violated that regulation.

The incompetence of federal agencies never ceases to amaze me. The first thing you do with foreign pilots involved in an incident of this nature on US soil is you take their passports.

Their licenses should be permanently REVOKED. Wreckless behavior with a resulting crash.

These two guys should be in prison with their pilot license revoked. They should then be deported permanently.

Thank you, it looks like they were intentionally harassing the boat for whatever reason but fleeing the country is a sure sign of guilt

I am a pilot, and that is complete. BS. Shame on the authorities for not handling this better. Kudos to the DA bringing charges against him.

Pilots should permanently be stripped of their license, charged with assault and reckless endangerment, jailed, then deported after their sentence is over.

Take passports. Detain. Jail time. Deport. I’m tired of these agencies being soft on others, putting OUR LIVES at risk.

Being licensed pilot in both fixed wing and rotorcraft with many hours in a Piper Arrow and the 172, I can guarantee their excuse is total BS. They were buzzing boats and screwed up and crashed.

Extremely concerning how easy it is for people to get a plane and fly it at people, then just leave the country

It is such a refreshing experience to hear someone explain a story without an inflection of drama and aggrandizement; no jumping up and down, fast movements of head, fake smile and arms or hands moving around making it difficult to follow. . Easy to follow and credible. Thank you.

OMG Hoover how did you spot this guy from the previous incident?! That is amazing. I hope, I hope, I hope that the FBI has him on a watch list because they were so comfortable and felt right at home being in the U.S. and harassing U.S. citizens on our turf, that surely they will be back. Count on it!

Don’t ever let either one of these guys on a plane again. Not even as a passenger. Period.

What got 'jammed' was their arrogance and complete disregard for airmanship and safety. BOTH should have their Tickets PULLED. Permanently.

Those "pilots" need to lose ALL PILOT LICENSES, AND GO TO PRISON.

Being that he fled the country, the FBI and the FAA should be able to report him to whatever authorities oversee pilots worldwide.

The TSA has harsh criminal penalties for flight schools and instructors would have even minor violations of training and recordkeeping requirements, yet they don't even get involved with non-USA pilots that are suspected of reckless and endangering flight activities? Something is wrong with the system that needs to be addressed asap IMO.

You did a better job of investigating than the FBI did

Wow... Even as a CPL trainee myself, this is beyond ridiculous! Forget the shocking manoeuvres these guys were doing, what is baffling is how the FAA and FBI could fumble the ball this badly!! 🤦🏾‍♂️ I hope we don't have a future 'i told you so'

I am an officer on unlimited tonnage ships and wish there was a channel like yours to learn lessons from ship alisions and colisions. They are extremely valuable. I have enough small airplane training to get lots out of your channel as well. Thanks for what you do.
