Join us as we see what fruit and vegetables are on offer from local traders, as well as further afield. We compare prices and qualities as we walk around the market to decide what we want to buy for 10euro.

Lemontree road market is one of the largest in the area, only on a Sunday, but it boasts over 500 stalls, selling all sorts of items, with several international food vendors. Located in the Cmapo, close to El Moncayo and El Raso, near to Guardamar del Segura.

This is one of the reasons why I love Spain when I visit on my holidays, the fruit in terms of scent/freshness/flavour is on another level compared to the UK - would love to see some of the food you made with the produce.

Nice market. A pity it's quite far from home. Thanks for buying in these markets, producers will appreciate.

Good tip on the melons, it's quite easy to go over 2 euros each if they are weighed.

We always try and hit the markets for the fresh fruit and veg, it also seems to last longer than what you get from places like the Carrerfour!

We love Mountain View Farm boxes when we are over and plan our meals accordingly. Everything else is from the local markets apart from Playa Flamenca as the prices are significantly inflated because of the tourists. Anything else is Mercadona apart from Spicy Monkey which is a Consum treat (poor Man's Drambuie)
