You should try to get an interview with Andy Hoang, Aviron founder and CEO. After purchasing a Peloton bicycle and subscription, he got bored of that machine real fast as the instructor led classes couldn’t keep him engaged. However, being a gamer and preferring rowing as a workout, he came up with the idea for Aviron initially seeding the company with his personal savings and a loan from his parents. I think you will find that he has an interesting story to tell indeed.

Hi! Loved the review. I’ve been looking at the three main players in this segment, Hydrow, Ergatta, and Aviron. I like how the Ergatta and Aviron seem to differentiate from Hydrow in the way they are gamifying the workouts.

The one thing that concerns me though is viability of the respective companies. Seeing a company like Peloton dominate the indoor cycling market makes me wonder if Hydrow will kind of do the same, leading to Aviron and Ergatta eventually just kind of leaving the market.

That brings me to a twofold question…one, do you think Aviron and Ergatta are both viable long term solutions, or do you see one or both of those companies struggling to survive in the marketplace? And two, if they were to shutdown, are the rowers still able to be used?

Hows the quality of netlix in your aviron? it seems like they only support 480p which is unbearable to watch. I have a gig of internet and think maybe this is just what quality aviron supports.

I keep hearing about netflix and other apps, but can't seem to get clarification is you can cast to the monitor other fitness apps or videos from your device?

So yesterday ordered the ergatta. My choice was between ergatta or aviron. I did not like the sound the seat created on the monorail. It was hollow and distracting. Apparently that’s only a me thing. Water watching this aviron review I am regretting my decision. Which do you like best. I know you loved the ergatta. Comparatively which one would you marry?

Good review. How comfortable did you find the seat? I would hope a rower that you might watch a whole Netflix show on would have something more comfortable than say the Concept 2.

I just watched your Ergatta video. My daughter is a gamer and should probably do more exercising. I've had friends swear by water rowers in the past. Do you feel this one is better than the Ergatta or is there another rower all together?

Come on, man. 😂 Btw, the recent feature to join another’s workout does allow anyone at any level to join in as long as the workout wasn’t locked out.
