Homer Simpson: I play right field too.
Darryl Strawberry: So?
Homer Simpson: Well, are you better than me?

I have been watching MLB for over 50 years and the most interesting fact I have noticed is that 80% of all the no hitters
pitched are by pitchers you have never heard of, had lousy to mediocre careers and have 0% chance of ever being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

6: There have been two players who have hit five home runs in one day. Thanks to doubleheaders, Stan Musial and Nate Colbert were able to achieve that feat:

On May 2, 1954, St. Louis Cardinals great Stan Musial hit five home runs in a doubleheader against the New York Giants. Though he went 6-8 with five home runs for the day, he only drove in 8 runs.

On August 1, 1972, San Diego Padre Nate Colbert equaled the feat, hitting five home runs in a double header against the Atlanta Braves. He bested Musial by driving in 13 runs on the day. Interestingly, Colbert grew up in St. Louis and, the story goes, claims to have been at the ballpark the day that Musial hit his five.

Well, Mr. Burns had done it,
The Power Plant had won it,
With Roger Clemens clucking all the while,
Mike Scioscia's tragic illness made us smile,
While Wade Boggs lay unconscious on the bar-room tile.
We're talkin' softball,
From Maine to San Diego,
Talkin' softball,
Mattingly and Canseco,
Ken Griffey's grotesquely swollen jaw,
Steve Sax and his run-in with the law,
We're talkin' Homer,
Ozzie and the Straw.
