Our adventurs on MLJET ISLAND in Croatia

As we made our way back up Croatia we decided to do a side trip to Mljet. This is the southernmost and easternmost of the larger Adriatic islands of the Dalmatia region of Croatia. We were recommended to visit the National Park which covers the western part of the island. We must have been the only tourists there!!! We parked our campervan, got our bikes, and made our way around Veliko jezero (great lake). It was a day rich with adventures in nature and we got the whole area to ourselves.
You can drive from one point to the other of the island in barely an hour! So the next day we made our way to the opposite side of the island to see a few beaches there and it was just as peaceful and lovely.
