Milky Way Mountain Moonrise Timelapse Oregon 4K

We backpacked into the beautiful Broken Top Caldera to shoot some timelapses and images. This 4K timelapse shows the Milky Way gliding over the peak as the moon starts to shine light onto it. The clip ran for about 6 hours and towards the end the sun started to rise overexposing the frames.

Hey Michael, I'm a huge fan of your photography. I was just wondering what you do in order to maintain detail in the foreground. It seems like everytime I attempt to photograph the milkyway, I get a great shot of the milky way but anything on the ground is completely black. How are you able to maintain the details in the mountain? Is it because you have an awesome camera? Or maybe the moon/sun created enough light on the mountains? Or are you a wizard? I can't figure out how to do it!! Help!
