Ríu Ríu Chíu - Arany Zoltán

This one, sung by Mr. Arany Zoltán and uploaded by us with his permission, is a Spanish villancico from the 15th Century, and is about a kingfisher (type of bird) who describes the events surrounding the Nativity.

This year many of us lost many things, and many people. Some of us succeeded, some of us failed. Some of us didn't make it, some did.
Take a moment to thank God for allowing you to reach this far, and pray for the souls of those who left us, which we hope are now in His presence.

Spanish history, culture and even language can only be comprehended within catholicism. We Spaniards should defend our culture and country through Christ.
Never forget our country was born from soldiers that prayed the rosary before battle, the Saints themselves came down from heaven to help our kings in battle against the moors during the Reconquista, we evangelize half of the world with the help of Saint Mary, for example, our lady of Guadalupe, who her self appeared to convert the indians in Mexico.

I feel proud with every cell of my body for being spanish with everything that means. I'm the consequence of centuries of history of my country, we all are, and I feel the moral obligation to preserve and defend what my ancestors and brothers built.

I just lost my own dear grandmother last week — an amazing woman who lived with me since the death of my dear grandfather and who had been more or less my adoptive mother for most of my life — so I know exactly how you feel right now and commiserate deeply.

May the Holy Spirit descend upon us both and comfort us in the knowledge of the resurrection and the life eternal — for your dear father, for my dear grandmother, and, God willing, for all men of good faith and good will, including ourselves.
