Learn to paint Winter Stroll with Acrylics | Paint and Sip at Home

VIDEO DESCRIPTION
This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to create this seasonal image of a Winter Stroll with crisp cool colors and an icy finish. Using only 4 brushes and 6 colors we'll create a dream-like painting with subtle shadowing and perspective techniques to create the feel of a solitary walk through a winter wonderland. So let's get painting and let's get sipping!

MATERIALS:
Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: #14 filbert, 1/2" wide bristle, #12 round synthetic, #0 round synthetic
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, cobalt blue, green oxide, violet purple, mars black, burnt umber
Other: palette, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

STEPS:
1. #14 filbert brush - Paint sky/background with white, blue, green and purple
2. 1/2 bristle brush – Paint waterway with blue, green and purple
3. 1/2 bristle brush - Paint first layer of snow with dirty brush and white
4. #12 round brush - Paint back tree trunks and branches with black, brown and white
5. #12 round brush - Paint the front trees with black and white
6. #12 round brush - Paint the reflections of the trees with black
7. 1/2" bristle brush - Paint second layer of snow on the ground with white
8. #0 round brush - Paint the man walking with black and white
9. 1/2" bristle brush - Paint snow on walkway with white, purple, green, blue and black
10. #0 round brush - Sign your painting with black
