This song is powerful, gets to me every time I hear it. I heard the commentary Issac says this song "is about the last time I got to see my brother. His name was Ansel and he died in an avalanche some years back. it's about the last time I saw him and the unfixable regret that follows." paraphrasing of course. Video is stellar. Song is a beautiful, painful, expression. I really dig this video.

The first time I heard this song I drove by a really bad accident on the highway. Paramedics had one person covered with a sheet and where attempting to resuscitate another on the ground. A while later I looked up the lyrics and realized how poignant they where to the situation. Be nice to people, you never know when their time is gonna be up.

i suck at staying still and doing literally anything, and listening to music usually helps me pay attention. i mostly listened to a couple of bands like Glass Animals, Saint Motel, and Gorillaz and a couple of others. I had known about the song Float On for a long time and I always really liked it. I decided to see what the band was about and I found Ocean Breathes Salty. For a little while I listened to those songs a lot. like a lot. i always started off my playlist with one of the two. I then decided to check out the youtube and see some of their other songs to see if i'd like them. i did. oooh boy, i did. i just really like the tone of Isaacs voice and the tone of the actual songs and everything was just nice. my favorite album by them is We Were Dead, but Strangers to Ourselves and Good News are both really good too, along with all the others. i just like fully got into them like a month ago. My top 10, in no particular order, would be: Sugar Boats, Dashboard, Ansel, The Ground Walks, Dramamine, Satellite Skin, The Good TImes Are Killing Me, Missed the Boat, and probably my favorite Spitting Venom. I will probably stop listening to them as much as i am, which is a lot, when i actually have money to buy most of their songs on itunes so i can mix it into my playlist. thats probably enough to tell random people on the internet.

I'm glad I found this. I'm a fan of MM but I can only ever listen to their songs sporadically as most make me feel like utter crap. This one in particular though... It feels like an old friend came up to me and put a hand on my shoulder saying "I miss mine too."
