SOTR results are wrong in the chart and should be:

Intel Core i9 12900k - 213
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X - 195
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X - 193
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X - 179
Intel Core i5 12600k - 194
Intel Core i7 12700k - 210
Intel Core i9 11900k - 179
Intel Core i5 11600k - 163

Basically the 12600k, a 300$ i5, is faster than the previous flagship i9 11900k, and the i7 12700k is faster or almost similar to a ryzen 9 5900x, amazing improvements over last Gen indeed

can you please sort the tables so we can see actual "ranking" of the CPUs, its annoying looking throughout the table with all the numbers and compare it against each other ...

People who buy 12900K or 5900/5950X are enthusiasts Andy who want the best, many of them will use very good CPU coolers including custom loop. So you need to understand that many will look for overclocking results on a 3600 AIO/Custom coolers. Hoping you do a video of overclocking on these new intel processors to show how good they are, and how much headroom Intel has left on these processors.

@eTeknix ... enjoy your level of knowledge. I have a question I cannot find an answer to. Does the new z690 support Intel VROC ? I bought a bunch of those Western Digital 750 Black 500GB NVMe drives that were on sale for $59 last year and I want to use 4 of the 6 I have in one of those Asus Hyper X V2 cards

8700k for 1440p gaming...still holds strong
The 12600k tho....for half the price here in australia...compared to the 12900k...no brainer if your upgrading ddr4/12600k

What was your ambient temp at the time of benchmarking? Can you tell?

I have a define r5 that I would like to keep for my next build, will I have thermal issues if I choose the 12700k with d15s ? Or is it better to take an IAO or change the case ?

Your i7 vs i5 benchmarks are very counterintuitive. How do you explain? I expected the i7 and i9 be very close in gaming.

Great review. Love that you didn't use an AIO like most other reviewers. Is there a bios configuration where the 12900k could be brought in line temperatures wise? i.e. aiming for a max temp of 90 under an all core workload? Appreciate that this will likely impact performance but it would mean that all core workloads were sustainable without an AIO.

Great, informative video, thank you for including watt usage, haven't made it that far but I hope it includes temps as well.

Looks like this was done with W10? And there's no resolution mentioned on the graphs.

6:36 where did the i9 12900K go for Tomb Raider?

AMD chip only has better latency because of your ram choice with the 12900K.

My eyesight is not the best I can barely see the black writing of the cpu's using my mobile. There's plenty of room on screen to make the writing 10x bigger. Just a friendly suggestion. I'll watch the video again on my tv later
