Hi, I have a Rapsodo as well and would recommend using an iPad with it. It is so much cleaner, more to see, has the image of the “range” on the side of the screen to compare all your shots and better at finding the club head when changing clubs using the camera.

Tried it, distances were extremely low for me. I use it indoors, good lighting and I've tried every combination of distances from ball/targe and height, nothing worked. Hope it works form others.

Hi Scott, really enjoying your reviews.just took the plunge and purchased MLM.keen to work on my game through the winter, indoors through lockdown.I’ve used outside at my local range, where it performed really well.recorded all shots, bar 1 out of 50.
Indoors however the results have not been great, I’ve emailed raspodo, who’ve been great, I’ve just about got the required distances.they mentioned light conditions, which can effect the readings.
Look forward to your guide how to get the best out of the MLM, potentially it looks a great bit of kit

Great evaluation. For a 15 handicap player, your thoughts between this unit and a Mevo +. No consideration for budget however, ease of set up would be considered.

Thank you for the video. I'm a 10 handicap looking to fully understand distances of my new clubs and work on driver launch angle. I plan to use a launch monitor at the range and not inside. Trying to decide between the MEVO, Rapsodo and SC300. Guidance on the selection?

Question, how does the device calculate distance? Does it depend on what club you are using (like a calculated formula for a specific club) or is the distance measured simply by the flight of the ball with the aid of the camera and radar?

Scott — enjoyed the review, thank you. I like many others are trying to decide between the Rapsodo MLM and the small Mevo. I am primarily going to use this hitting into a net in my garage. In your opinion, how useful is the lateral launch direction information that the Rapsodo provides? Also, did I understand your review correctly that net mode does not provide any information concerning side spin whereas outdoor mode does? It’s too bad that you cannot see that information immediately after hitting the shot and instead have to dig into the app data in order to find it. Thanks for any input that you may have. Further videos please. Maybe a comparison vs your Mevo+. They show videos of their net and outdoor modes vs trackman and seems very very accurate

Hi Scott, I have strongly considered buying the Rapsodo MLM based on its functionality and everything that I've researched, but I have one very big concern. As I would be predominantly (if not entirely) using it outdoors in full sunlight, my concern is the iPhone or iPad being in the direct sun and overheating, particularly in the warm/hot Australian weather. I know that if I leave my iPhone in the direct sun for 15 mins or more, it starts to overheat. With your experience and connections to lots of golfers and professionals, are you able to provide any feedback to my concerns or obtain feedback from users/owners/testers that have used the Rapsodo MLM in direct sun conditions. I'd hate to purchase it and find out later that the MLM works fine in direct sun but the iPhone / iPad overheats and shuts down. Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
