RNIB Lottery : TV AD

UP worked with DTV Group to create a fundraising TV ad promoting RNIB’s weekly lottery.
Mr Pound is our central character: the style is Saturday night TV! The voiceover was performed by Alistair McGowan. It seemed to have a bit of a Bob Monkhouse ring to it, so we based the performance of Mr Pound on YouTube footage of Bob in action. We think he does quite a good job for a coin.
The ad posed a number of technical challenges, the biggest of which was simulating a crowd of characters with limited budget and timeframe. Made in Cinema 4D, we used the flexible XRef system combined with the Cloner tag to maintain an efficient workflow.
