“Bro just cancel out the d’s, it’s ln/x”

He looks as if he actually had a student do this.

Obviously that's wrong!
Since it's ln, the answer should be 1/

The true error here was the marker color choice.

Actually d/d and x/x will get cancelled so answer is ln/x

It's very impressive how he wrote the entire thing and crossed it out without smiling.

Ah yes the derivative of (ln) is 1/x
(Seriously though, this is very wrong, you must use the Quotient Rule)

You can't cancel ln x like that. You must use quotient rule to get the answer.

The correct way is as follows.

Step 1, cancel the d, so d/dx(ln x/x)= 1/x(ln x/x)

Step 2, multiply the denominators together to get x*x=x^2 at the bottom.

Step 3, Subtract the numerators to get 1-ln x on the top.

Step 4, Combine the expressions from Step 2 and Step 3. The answer is (1-ln x)/x^2

yep looks like someone clearly failed their algebra

I don't know why, but I was expecting it to be 1/n

It would be right if you cancel out the d and somehow get rid of the n 😂

Since when did we start cancelling independent terms with logs 💀

I’m guessing only if “l” and “n” are variables for some reason o_O
