Epic Seven Balance Patch First Look! (Lionheart Cermia, Judge Kise, Pirate Captain Flan)

Yo guys, the long awaited and delayed balance patch for epic seven is finally here now that E7WC is coming to its conclusion and we have multiple ML5's (Lionheart Cermia/LHC, Judge Kise, Pirate Captain Flan) as well as some 5 star RGB's that we will be discussing. I don't see these buffs/changes impacting the meta too hard going forward but some of the changes will make playing these units MUCH easier. If your heart"s not in it, don't push yourself. You phoned in several of the change explanations to the point where I will have to go reread everything myself just to understand them. Not that I wouldn't have, anyway, but you get what I mean.

You definitely read LHC wrong. LHC's S3 is comparable to D. Corvus or Laia now. You CAN'T use it the first turn without Shine activation or Iseria.

You missed big change for Alencia EE... she will push back all characters by 20% with S3!

im pretty sure lermia s3 starts at full cooldown so you cant just rip it at start or am i wrong?

I feel like if the balance patches were more frequent then ppl wouldn’t be up and arms about it, but to change a units whole plays style like PC Flan is t gonna be good, they changed MA Ken with the er fiasco and he was barely used to the point they changed him again to something better and much more usable, I think same is going to happen to PC Flan with these changes which means in a future patch note she will take the slot of someone else that needs a buff/rework. Still love the game but also sad at their efforts thus far regarding balance patches and specialty changes.

caR, I'm sorry but there is no way you read PFlan changes right. She lose her base Effi and her mitigation which mean she will not lend her debuff and she will not tank anymore, anti crit flip is weaker than 30% dmg redirection. Also "When the enemy has a buff after using a skill, activates Time to Pillage" which means she has to s3 on an ennemy with a BUFF and what are the buffs applied on 1st turn, barrier, stealth or IMMUNITY, most of the time she will have to S3 on IMMUNITY targets. You can't tell us that PFlan change is good when she will have to s3 turn 1 on immunity targets, when right now you can choose to steal the immunity and stun 1 unit turn 1.

Not bad. Also, I'm surprised they didn't do that earlier with Alencia. It doesn't make sense that her abilities don't all injure but her trample did

I think you are looking at pirate flan as if she is keeping everything she had before and gaining these buffs she is just blatantly squishier and worse if they pick guaranteed crit characters and less stats with no effectiveness it is not comparable to ddr change at all imo

What's up with all the trolls in this comment section? Car read the changes pretty accurately. And most of these changes will make these units more viable for champ and higher rta. We need more balance patches like this to allow ppl to not have to play the same 12 units every game.

Pirate flan has the potential to be a very flexible support meta unit and here's why:

You exchange a weak SB (soulburn) of stealing a buff and extra turn to apply def break one of the strongest debuffs in the game, especially if you consider the arrival of Emperor Ilynav

Instead of having redirection, you now have Anti crit which is much better, and you give all allies increased effectiveness which is important for

That s3 is overloaded. You now give the entire team ability to steal buffs at 100% chance vs the 75% chance on s1 for 1 unit. And you can activate this anytime with s1 or s3 as long as unit has a buff. And not being able to crit means you can steal barriers. People are really really underestimating this buff

Only thing Im initially bummed about is Alencia losing her defense break. Not really seeing why she would be busted if they just left that in

Pflan change is terrible i use her a lot in arena and gw offense this would make me unable to use her

LHC buff is huge. Now she can ult in 1st turn. But unfortunately, def penetration is a thing now.
