Genetic Hearing Loss? | Update

I went to the ENT doctor to see if I have any hearing loss, since my dad's hearing is almost completely gone. Wanted to give you all this update. Thank you for your prayers and please continue praying for my dad! xo

My daughter was born with a hearing loss and just now at 18M they have concluded that her right ear she can only hear high frequencies and her left ear she can hear high frequencies and some low frequencies. She does wear hearing aids. It’s been a battle but we love her!

I’m 27 and was diagnosed with genetic hearing loss last year. So glad you don’t have any loss, but hear loss isn’t the end of the world and so glad your dad is handling it well. Hearing aids are amazing (and almost invisible) if he is a candidate for them.

My son was diagnosed at 6 years old with hearing loss. It was extremely hard to go through. He had never failed a hearing test in his life so it was a shock. He’s about to turn 9 and we still don’t know what caused this to happen. They will do an exploratory surgery when he’s older. I will pray for your dad, I know how hard this is.

Getting my first pair of hearing aids at 21 please pray for me. I have genetic hearing loss as well, cookie bite hearing loss. I noticed it a lot sooner in my life. Praying for you and your family as well.

: ( yea.. it's def a hard time. I'm 31 i remember when i developed hearing loss/ TInnitus. Around the time it happened my Ex girlfriend left me, my grades were dropping in grad school, and i recently just loss both my parents around like 28... Yea, I think it was a MAJOR factor. only G-D knows i'm not complaining anymore. It was G-Ds will. I'm doing my best to live my life currently... it's soo hard.

You could have issues w/ fluid circulation in your ear msybe? There is med for that. In Raw Life (Janice, she has chronic illness) vlog her one a couple days ago about ears/hearing mentioned this but no med name. I have ME/CFS (a chronic illness) and I do experience sensory amplification sometimes. Like voices and noise is loud and bothersome. Almost hurts...feels a bit overwhelming. Like sensory overload. Thanks be to God that issue isn't a daily struggle! Praying for your dad. My grandpa had early experimental ear surgery in Los Angeles in the 70's probably. It lasted many years! His hammer in ear had like degraded so they somehow screwed a plastic replacement one on in ear. He said it was an interesting experience...they worked with metal tools and he had to put his feet on some kind of plate to ground himself or prevent a ground connection? And my aunt on other side had freezing of the vibration plate in her ear. **Idea: Sean Vanderwilt has a vid or 2 on his YouTube channel about his experience SUPER similar to your dad. Had been under water a little...I think in a tub. Then just started losing hearing! Steroids and various things(?) helped him regain some hearing! Better than was. He's a dancer & singer. Currently in Cher's Vegas show.**
