I have the road 5’s right now, driven them in the wet nearly every day the last month. Been caught in completely torrential downpour a few times! Feel confident enough to ride them nearly normally. Only had them for about 2-3k miles so far but they’re such a marked improvement over the stock tires I had. Definitely don’t think I’ll get to 10k miles on them with all the rushed city commuting I do… great review mate watched the one you did on the 5s and started this one not knowing you were the same guy. Cheers

I’ve had the road 5’s now the 6’s, the 5’s lasted a long time and were a great tire. I believe these will be better, I just put 6’s on and so far they’re impressive.

I've just done Scotland to Cornwall via the English/Welsh border on a pair of Road 6s, along the south coast to th New Forest and back via Yorkshire - in some horrendous wet, windy weather, as well as the dry - and on all roads.

The tyres did. not. miss. a. beat. Excellent, confidence inspiring and O could not recommend them highly enough. 1500 miles in the last week, no squaring off at all.

I also got a screw in the rear within the first 200 miles that needed plugged 😂

I had a Tracer 700 with the M road pilot (?) 5s on. They were the best tyres on any bike I've had. Not one moment, wet or dry. The Tracer was a bike that you could throw into bends too. Great in wet weather. I hope the 6s are just as good and not too much more to buy. I'll be getting them for my CB650R when the, v good, Metzellers, square off.

Just burned through a set of Road 6s on my 2020 SDGT 4500 miles, 900 miles motorway Glasgow/Portsmouth/Plymouth return and Spain & Portugal tour 3600 miles
What I would expect from Road 5s so no difference there
The 6s are absolutely incredible, good improvement from the 5s. Very tactile feedback and ride like it's dry in the wet. No matter what huge huge grip
Another set of 6s arriving this week £308 before fitting

This is the first time I end up on your channel (because I’m looking into these tyres for my R1250GSA), and after only a few minutes I’m getting ‘Baron von Grumble’ vibes. I see that as a good thing 🙂
I think I’ll browse your channel for a bit more… 🙂

Appreciate the review! I’ve got the 2019 version of your bike, currently also shod with the Anakee Adventure. Considering the Road 6 next and your comments are helpful. Cheers!

Since you say the road 6's are the best sport touring on the market. How do they compare to the Metzeler Roadtec 01's, Bridgestone T32's, Dunlop Roadsmart 4's and Pirelli Angel GT 2's? What makes the Road 6 better then all of them?

I have Michelin Road 5s on both my bikes Speed Triple RS and VFR800. Good tyres. I like your jacket. Is it a Richa Daytona 2? I got one in black. Love it. Your observations about that van were so true.

Puncture magnet😏 Yup. I've had a few with my Road5s. Screws and nails. Nevertheless I love these tyres.
Just had to replace a front today due to a puncture. Only 2000kms on it, but a write-off.
Replaced with a Road6 so will be interesting to see the difference.

On my second set of Michelin. R5’s excellent, R6’s brilliant on a MS 1260s….haven’t used other brands but can’t imagine much better

Riding a Crossrunner which is a bit heavy but a nice sport tour ride, it's had 4 different brands of tire on it, all with plus or minuses. Original scorpions were crap of course. Put on Angel GTs, steering became nice and light with quick transitions, great dry grip, average wet grip, average wear. Next was road 5s from Michelin, much heavier steering, better wet, longer wearing. Metz SE 01s next, lighter steering and great wet and dry. Except the center tread wears out very suddenly and unexpectedly, (rear tire 8k Kms) showing the cords even with moderate side tread remaining. Other commenters have said the same thing, alarmingly sudden lack of tire. Going to try the Road 6s next.

Nice real world review Sam, they seem to be great tyres. As always I love your enthusiasm which shows through the giggles every time you crack the throttle 😂

I got a set of these for my 2017 KTM SA-S, what a coincidence. I didn’t get them on yet though so looking forward to watching your review…

I live in Saffron Walden and I’ve been stuck behind that very same rusty yellow van 😂. Great video.
