SOUL'D OUT performs the song "CHANGING SHADES" for BalconyTV.

PRESENTED BY ISHA SINGH SAWHNEY @peachisha

Soul'd Out was formed in the summer of 2011. The idea for the band however, had been floating around in some of the members' heads for quite a while as some of its members from that time - Rohit, Bhaanu, Abhay and Abhijit - jammed occasionally before that while in the same college. The transition from there to a band was therefore quite seamless.

With influences ranging over different genres of music, Soul'd Out has a very interesting sound, and the members aren't really concerned about how that sound can be defined/categorised. All that matters to them is that they have fun playing, which eventually spreads contagiously into the crowd.

Soul'd Out is -
Abhay Sharma on Sax, Bhaanu Mendiratta on Guitar, Chetan Awasthi on Vocals, Sajal Sharma on Bass and Abhijit Sood on Percussion/Drums.

CHANGING SHADES - Lyrics

Verse:
I'm runnin' away from home
'Cause I've been living it there too long
Can't be bothered about right or wrong
I know I'm gonna find my way

I got so many ways to roll
But i don't know where I'm gonna go
There ain't no one I need to wait for
I know i'm gonna find my way

Slip myself (myself) into a pair of new shoes
Look into the mirror and wipe out the blues
Standing firm and not prepared to break

Chorus:
Cover it up and leave it all behind
They will never never know
Wounds begin to heal themselves with time
They will never never know
Moments that were drowned by all the lies
They will never never know
Changing shades that fade away

Verse:
I can't think of a better spot
I got all that i ever thought (could be mine)
For being what i know i'm not
I know i'm gonna find my way

I used to stare at her from afar
But now we're closer 'eneath the stars
Faking's not really hard
I know i'm gonna find my way

It's kinda strange but people wanna get closer to me
For being someone that i know i should not be
Yet i'm standing firm and not prepared to break

Bridge:
Although i know i should quit pretending
It's hard to show who i am
Not too long ago i used to be nobody
But now they know who i am
Time will flow and there'll be no bitter memories
And i'm not going back

Chorus:

Good stuff guys! One suggestion. Your tempo is all over the place. Your percussionist's not in time with the rest of the band. Check that up. Although. Your ideas are awesome. Keep it up.
