Great review Jarrod. I love the GPU performance of this machine! I think if I had one big criticism of the chassis design is that there is only two heat pipes to the CPU. We’d probably see quite a bit better CPU performance in CPU only loads if this had a third shared heatpipe to the CPU coming from the GPU side fan. I hope MSI updates the heat pipe design in the future so the CPU power limits can be increased further, even Razer CPUs would need better cooling to hit max performance.

Unlike most other channels, who tend to make decisions for us and state what they think without giving the solid data needed to come to conclusions, Jarrod does all the aforementioned, and even more actually.

My only criticism of the review is that instead of comparing to last gen 2080 models and lower, it would be more beneficial to compare to your more recent tests of 3000 series laptops so we get a better idea of price/performance for the current gen.

Just a salute to the reviewer, but also to MSI for quality, which I assume they still do. I have one of their older laptops and have never had a problem with it and use it a lot. Very high quality all around. No cheap parts that I can tell, very durable, and nothing it does is annoying or slow, ever. Can't think of one time I got mad at this thing. The fan is a little loud but I usually don't need it or the noise from speakers/headphones drowns it out anyway. It's packed with a lot of stuff and run two 4k monitors (could add another) and it works great. Will definitely buy MSI again and would recommend.
