Young Man With A Horn was renowned Puerto Rican trumpeter, arranger, bassist and composer Bobby Valentin’s first album released on Fania Records after forming his own band in 1965. The album featured Marcelino “Junior” Morales on vocals. The eleven-track album includes songs in English and Spanish with a range of styles from boogaloo, cha-cha, salsa, Latin jazz & soul, guaguancó, and bolero. The album includes unforgettable songs like the love ballad “Amor Ciego,” the salsa song with boogaloo flare “Maina” and the popular boogaloo “Geronimo.” Today we are releasing a remastered digital album, making it available in HD audio for the first time as part of the Fania 60th Anniversary celebration.
