Step one: The big Monstera Deliciosa chop!

I didn’t want to chop! I loved her size but she was ready to hit the ceiling. So first step was to air layer, grow roots, and here we are with the chop.

Next video will show how I air layered to get to this point and repotting.

Question:
My "Mon-Sara" (she was given to me by my friend Sara) was a tiny little single leaf with a few roots in water and is now approaching 5 feet. I'm curious what "you" do with the air roots? I've aimed a few into the pot and a few are growing outside the pot and about 6 feet long. What's best for the plant?
