The guardian's also make a beep sound right before firing, it's a great audio cue for timing the parry

It depends on distance. Theres no trick that works 100% reliably other than reflexes and good timing. Just keep practicing. I've bounced back lazers from halfway across Hyrule field. Waiting for the "white light" would have been a death sentence

Just listen for the distinct beep at the end unless your on master mode then timing is not the same and to be fair the distance in-between you and the guardian matters a lot also.

I'm using giant core farming as an opertunity to learn this from different distances

Also you can't do it too early or too late. Helpful advice as SOON as you see white light wait a slight millisecond THEN press the A button. If u do it right when white light turns on its too early and you won't parry right.

Thanks to your instruction, this is one of the combat moves that I can do pretty consistently. One of the things that helped me was collecting a set of pot lids and rusty shields before going out to battle guardians. If I screw up and lose one of these shields, I don't feel bad. When one-by-one I was able to defeat all the guardians in the Forgotten Temple by parrying their laser beams, I even amazed myself. 😂

I had to follow-up and say I took down a crawling guardian yesterday and it was glorious. Thank you for all the shorts and the encouragement. I parried it's blast, then used the master sword to hack off some legs. I'd like to think it was equal parts shocked and terrified - getting a taste of its own medicine. LOL.

Unless you're in Master Mode and sometimes there's a slight delay just to screw with you

I had a different YouTuber use the sound to parry, and I couldn't get the timing right when I used that. Then I watched Quinbobin, and he used this method which worked so much better for me.

The thing is the laser is on a 3 sec timer so when it fully locks on and does no move around count to 3 then parry

When far away the beam should veam about half way, you can also lick on and position the camera to look down both of you

It’s so much more challenging in Master mode cuz the bastards change the timing after each blast 😂
