I assume the antenna on the glareshield is PowerFLARM - how tall is it, and does it require a ground plane? How is the performance?

It is a Dipole 5" so no ground plane.

See my web for more details. I have been testing and getting 4 to 6 nm range.

The new issue is that PowerFlarm new 2.6 firmware has limited viewing of PowerFlarm targets to within 500 meters of altitude above and below. Previous Fw was unlimited So with the new fw you will see far less targets. IMHO not an improvement . They say making the vertical range settable is on their todo list but not a priority.
