Hi Trev. About the plastic ball in the pond. Well in this numbers it doesn't make any sense, but if there are enough balls to cover the whole surface, than they would drastically reduce the condensation of the water. Hope my answer helped.

Often I'm asked whats it's like been a Falang in Thailand. After a night out in Bangkok getting off the BTS I took a Short cut to my home. I came across 6 Thais who started to call me names white Falang go back to your country and started to push me around. I knew this could get out of hand. I lifted my shirt exposing my chest licked my hand and started to wipe my chest and said look it won't wipe off. The mood changed to laughter. We talked for a time about Thais and Falangs. We all apologised. Now I often walk down their soi to say hi and talk to the Thais they even invite me into their homes.
It's a pleasure to meet their families. The moral of the story get to Know the Thais in your area.
