That's my old house, the brick one with the red roof. It's almost unrecognizable. Our children were raised there the few first years of life. There's a lot of older people in this area. Almost all my family members lost their homes. It's so sad to see this community devastated like this. I'm praying for all those affected 😔

I live east of Selma in Autauga county. There are 6 confirmed deaths in this county so far. It was 74 degrees around 12:30. Am hour and a half after the storms, it was 55 degrees. Today was scary.

Alabama is the new Oklahoma. Urban planners need to start recognizing this and update building codes throughout the entire state. There's not much that can be done for mobile homes but each community should have a safe place to go when emergencies happen

I live in Autaga County which is where the storm hit after selma and so much stuff and houses got destroyed and its sad, I got extremely lucky, and there are sadly a phew dead.
