Just a story about a white woman exploring her Asian man fetish and an Asian man exploring his white woman fetish all at the expense of the Asian women that had to deal with the worse sides of him even though they had put in so much more work and had hopes and dreams themselves. I feel like every time this musical is revived it's for that Asian man/white woman fantasy which I'll admit usually looks hot (I mean Ken Watanabe, Daniel Dae Kim, even Yul Brynner, although, despite having a mixed background, was still pretty white, are so handsome) until you really get to the dirty side of the story and then every cast, crew, and audience finds out how not fun the rest of the story is but it's already too late.
