DIY Modern Bird Houses

Just some fun projects that only took a couple hours. I haven’t made bird houses since I was a little kid with my grandpa, and this reminded me of those days. My grandpa was so excited to teach me about woodworking and my memory of that is that I didn’t actually care very much at the time, but looking back it was really neat of him to share that with me because as an adult I’ve come full circle and love working with my hands and being creative.

Tbh I have no idea if these boxes are the right size but I know the hole is the right size to keep the sparrows out and attract the smaller song birds… oh, btw, I was a nature kid before I was a club kid and now it’s another full circle moment.

Check back, I see birds flying around with nesting materials these days so hopefully some little couple finds our houses!
