minimalism is just a fancy word for the process of getting rid of excess || a.k.a. all the things robbing you of living a beautiful, joyful, adventurous and content life.

Do the work you were called to do, rest when necessary, let go of stress, laugh with your loved ones, cry too, and wake up in the morning looking forward to doing it all over again.

Knowing I don't need the next "coolest" thing gives me the peace in saying no to it and being more happy with what I have.

Being autistic, going minimalist has greatly improved my mental health and stress.

As someone with adhd( I don’t use it as a crutch btw) going minimalist is so freeing 😁 I feel like a visitor in a hotel everything is clean and efficient and I don’t even clean besides dust and mop.

Minimal definition of Minimalism - Only have things that you use everyday. If you don’t have use of it don’t buy it.

There is something about necessities and daily chores without adding on new stuff or new lifestyle every now and then that soothes the mind.

I’ve lived a minimalist lifestyle since I got divorced in 94’. It’s absolute freedom.

I like minimalism, especially in regards to less clutter and unnecessary items, but I need more color personally. I would prefer colorful minimalism if such a thing exists. lol

Not sure why people would criticize others for being minimalist lmao. ?? Personally i hate it for me and do find myself looking very boring if i don't wear flashy makeup, glitter, loads of jewelry and all things excessive. But maximalism is what makes me truly happy, if minimalism is what makes someone else happy then that's all that matters. Neither harms others, it's just a form of expression

I love the low-key, peaceful YouTube shorts! Quite a contrast to the high-powered, distractingly meaningless way that this feature often gets used. I hope you continue to post meaningful and carefully selected content! Your journey has changed my life, and I look forward to whatever you have to share with us, provided you are protecting your own peace.
I often think back to how you said there's a trap waiting for us to prioritize the world's novelties over the Lord, and I hope (excuse my boldness), YouTube never becomes that for you.

People need to understand that being a minimalist means that you‘ll only own the things you really need, the ones that noticeably make you feel good and grateful, and the things you love. In a time where we easily say „I love it“ about anything, minimalism teaches us to distinguish between things that really are worth our time, energy and money and things that just stuff to us. And minimalism teaches us to value having less (but oftentimes better things in return), seeing less, being cluttered up less. As an auDHD ex-maximalist who thought she loved her maximalism - let me tell you that I didn‘t actually love the stuff. It robbed me of so much energy, actually gave me anxiety and cost much money as well. Only after getting rid of it all I realized that all of that stuff really did weigh me down

I always think being a minimalist is being grateful for what I already have.

I am being forced into living a minimalistic lifestyle because a family member has decided they want to live that way. I really don’t like minimalism not because I like clutter because I don’t, but because I am a tech enthusiast and like having the latest and greatest tech. Minimalism is not for me but I am trying it so I can tell my family member I tried it and it doesn’t work for me.

Minimalism in architecture doesn't make sense
But in industrial/product design minimalism makes sense. (Each step during manufacturing increases the cost of the product but in architecture or interior design the building is not mas produced and design everytime before creating)
For me.
Talking about aesthetics only, not the functionality aspect of minimalism.
Cuz, the functionality aspect of minimalism makes sense everywhere.

You're saying minimalism isn't boring and colorless while wearing a boring colorless outfit and standing in a boring colorless home. To each their own if thats the style you like, but you're not helping your point

Ah, yes. The beige aesthetic. Beige people, beige clothes, beige house.

Decluttering doesn't necessarily require decluttering color. But if you're enjoying the Denmark prison experience, go off, I guess.
