My brother and I were fishing through the night on Lake Michigan. We both spotted a large meteor flying South through the sky. We both saw a very bright flash, and a second later heard a thunder-like BOOM. As we watched the meteor, there were about eight chunks that sprayed out from the meteor, and a smaller meteor continued on its path Southwards through the sky ! It's too bad we didn't have a video camera on board, because that would have been our ONE IN A billion moment !!!

The enormous beauty of the mountains with avalanche...topped off with a rainbow 🌈. Spectacular!

The rainbow created by the airblast of the avalanche was an unexpected moment of beauty. It's literally like being immersed by a cloud of airborne snow that was launched into the air seconds ago. A lot of physical and meteorological phenomena occuring in unison.

When I was a teenager I went out to the back yard the moon looked so close and huge like it was about to touch the garage, it only happened once, it was an awesome sight

Another crazy fact: At 6:23 when talking about the lightning strike, Chris the storm chaser who was filming it was also recently hit by a tornado in his car. Miraculously he survived with no injuries but his car was completely mangled.

We have surfed and swam in the water when the water was glowing blue - we never heard of these issues in the past. This was also in Southern California. It does though look really cool at night!

I had a friend who went to Beijing. He showed me a slideshow of pictures and one picture stood out to me. It was of a small blue blob against a dark gray background. When I asked what it was, he replied, "this was the only time I saw the sky." He was there for 2 weeks. Pollution is no joke in China.

The "Blue Beaches" actually happen anywhere in the world with the Algae. In fact, it is a common occurence in Trinidad and Tobago...reaching into rivers as well.
