2:52 Tell me if I'm wrong, I've never actually studied German but I have Dutch, but for me it being "das Mädchen" sounds logical because of the -chen diminutive that makes everything neutral...

German teaching lady: " you can't learn this intuitively you have to memorize rules and apply them consistently"

Just saw my school in der Torstraße 125 DAS Akademie! This is the most amazing school ever! the school makes you feel like you're at home, the atmosphere is really cool, in the class you're just few students so it's perfect, the method is just amazing and fun to do, we speak a lot, play roles that we write ourselves, you learn very quickly and you can speak really fast! The teachers don't push you hard, they take time with you, if you don't understand something, they are really open and patient
I think it's the best way to learn, besides you have outside and inside, super cool events (the christmas workshop was so fun to do!), the teachers are just amazing. Also the price is totally correct (ive seen higher prices and lower prices schools with both bad teaching) so here it's really worth it, you won't lose anything!
Besides all of that, you have a super welcoming team, Laura & Sophie are super friendly and cool girls!
To conclude, i will said that each morning i was jumping from my bed happy to go to das akademie, i would highly recommend this school, if you want to learn in a friendly atmosphere, with cool teacher and be able to speak really fast!

I have studied for 7 months and have made some improvements. Let's not get discouraged about not being at this guy's level. He is probably extra talented. :) He probably has had lots more opportunities to immerse himself in the language. Keep up the good work all of you!

it it their mother tongue and can not explain basic grammar;
this shows the brain naturally learns from childhood, but teaching and explaining a language is truly a job

I am amazed by the fact that German people can't even name the cases they have in their own language, yet they speak it perfectly. Maybe that's the secret. It's such a natural thing to them that they don't even realize all the different cases they're using, they simply know it by intuition.
